Austin was born and raised in Lexington and went to Henry Clay High School where he was a captain on the football and track team. He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BS in Finance with a concentration on Financial Planning. He was also a member of the WKU Football team and received academic All-CUSA honors. Austin holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses with LPL Financial along with his insurance licenses. He earned his CFP® designation shortly after graduating from WKU’s financial planning program. He was the Treasurer for Rotaract Club of Lexington for 3 years and is still involved. He and his wife Rosie have two dogs named Bo and Molly.
